OUR HISTORY

In April of 2010 Bob McBroom, Kolman Bubis and Waylon Grubbs formed Sunstone Manufactured Housing Consultants. Prior to founding Sunstone, the partners were industry competitors at CB Richard Ellis and Marcus & Millichap. Years of friendly competition yielded mutual respect and developed into a vision to combine their vast networks and skill sets. Sunstone has since evolved into the premier manufactured housing firm in the nation offering brokerage, capital solutions and consulting services. Collectively, the partners have more than 30 years of experience in the manufactured housing business.

Bob McBroom - Relocated his family from Sydney, Australia to Chicago, Illinois to develop a national platform for the Manufactured Housing/Recreational Vehicle Group at CB Richard Ellis. Prior to CB Richard Ellis and his tenure in Sydney, he lived in the Midwest and Texas for almost 20 years. Bob gained significant international experience managing his family’s real estate portfolio, including a large Australian caravan park portfolio.

Waylon Grubbs - Spent 5 years at Marcus & Millichap, where he closed over 50 transactions totaling more than $100,000,000. Waylon has represented some of the industries’ largest operators as well as a number of “mom and pop” operators throughout the country. He is based in Dallas, Texas where he and his family reside. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Waylon held a Series 7, 63, and 66, while he was employed with Smith Barney (formerly Salomon Smith Barney). The specific knowledge gained with experience in highly sensitive investment markets uniquely qualifies Waylon to provide his clients with an insurmountable amount of relative information necessary to make decisions in today’s ever changing market.

Kolman Bubis - Previously worked at Marcus & Millichap for over 5 years focusing exclusively on serving prospective buyers and sellers of mobile home communities. Kolman assisted current owners by fine-tuning their investment strategies, marketing and selling their properties, or locating new investment opportunities. He offered clients the superior level of expertise needed to achieve their investment objectives.
